The North Carolina Spartans Fast-pitch Organization is coming off an awesome inaugural year with 30 Championship appearances and has now doubled in size from 3 teams to six. We are looking for good positive coaches for each of our six age groups: 8U, 10U, 12U Blue, 12U Gold, 14U and 16U/18U Team. We are especially looking for former female softball players who have a desire to share their knowledge and passion of the game to the next generation of players. There is no pressure to win games; the primary focus is teaching the game while building character, strong minds, and high self-esteem. Coaches will receive modest compensation for their time and experience.

All practices are held in the NC Triad area of Guilford, Forsyth and Davie Counties.
Tournaments are played in North & South Carolina including Myrtle Beach.
 
Description of Teams:
8U Coach Pitch:

• Participants are between the ages of 6 ½ thru 8
• They will require lots of patience since some of them will be introduced to softball for the first time.

10U Local Team:

• Ages:  8 ½ to 10
• Many of the Participants have played recreation ball and are converting to travel–ball for the experience and challenge.
• Prospects are learning the basic fundamentals of the game.

12U Gold & Blue Team:

• Ages: 10 – 12
• Coaches will need more structure at this level
• Teaching Intermediate/Advance level of the game: slap hit, bunt coverage.
• Gold Team will play “A/AA”
• Blue Team will play “B/BB”

14U  

• Tournaments are also held in the Charlotte, Burlington, and Rock Hill surroundings.
• Season will include a limited number of Showcase events
• Teaching Advanced  level of the game: slap hit, bunt coverage, independent thinking

16U/18U Teams:

• Tournaments are also held in the Charlotte, Burlington, and Rock Hill surroundings.
• Tournament schedule includes 16U Showcase events
